Themis Ecosystem (TE), a multi-billion-dollar innovative business environment, has recently undergone numerous changes and upgrades. Development has occurred in both key areas: industrial work and the development of the financial system.

Significant progress has also been made regarding the overall picture and the global platform. Let’s examine all three segments.

The General Business Platform Improvements

Although certain things are happening faster than desired and expected – especially upgrades and partner connections – some elements are also developing more slowly. One of the key reasons why the establishment of the platform and the financial system is taking more time is the change in specific laws.

Namely, TE, as an international platform, must follow not only different structures and requirements but also establish a frictionless connection between all operations, maintain high standards, and ensure optimal performance conditions.

On the other hand, this time lag has once again proven to be useful, as it has brought fresh potential for upgrading. Over the past six months, one of the teams has been intensively preparing for cooperation with universities. Experts from various fields have adopted a holistic approach to product development and the creation of a more integrated circular economy, achieving a significantly higher level than initially planned.

“They realized that our project represents a practical solution to many previously unsolvable challenges,” said founder Roberto Hroval. “In the end, we agreed to actively cooperate with one of the most prestigious universities, the University of Maribor, from the greenest European country, Slovenia. It has 17 faculties, 19 laboratories, and around 1,500 researchers. We chose it because it can offer the most optimized and professional assistance in the long term in various areas covered by the Themis Ecosystem, such as agriculture, energy, crop production, livestock farming, infrastructure, and so on.”

Experts have also declared TE the most sustainable circle economy and a practically applicable model that can bring substantial benefits to nature, industry, and the community. In addition to its positive impact on the environment, TE is also the best, if not the only, all-in-one supportive system that encompasses all key elements, including regulation, standards, digitalization, and a payment system, among others.

Collaboration With the Academy

The Universities will create special project teams that will work on different tasks. One team will begin promoting all findings and key advantages of TE already this autumn at various professional conferences, through articles in specialized media, on professional forums, and similar channels.

The team will start presenting TE as the best system for increasing the competitiveness of the economy, the best model for rapid expansion of activities within the EU, the most effective functioning model and support for the circular economy, the best model for CO2 decarbonization, etc.

Another key area that faculties will fully take over is research and development. Some research activities in the fields of agriculture, energy, and chemistry will be relocated to other, more prestigious locations.

One of the academy’s tasks will also be the development and support of products, starting from laboratory research and testing through certification and ultimately finding customers.

As a result of the synergetic work of many academic groups, clear conditions and an environment will be established. They will determine who can join TE as a driver, what structure they must have, in which industry they can operate, how they can digitalize their products, how much CO2 they must remove from the environment, and similar.

Collaboration with the academy has also brought interest from new, significant business partners who will join the project shortly.

In line with the new circumstances that will more quickly attract larger business partners, the company’s main website, themisecosystem.com, will also undergo a partial redesign. It will operate in a more corporate manner and provide a better platform and foundation for B2B cooperation.

“The entire project has developed into something much larger and significantly more potent than we had planned,” confirmed Hroval.

More Than a Technology; It Is Here to Support the Silent Revolution

Another central area that has recently taken on significant changes is the first TE driver, the Biomass Ultima (BU) plant. It is a factory for processing wood biomass into green electricity and additional byproducts such as organic carbon, organic wood vinegar, organic tar, and organic wood-derived plant booster.

The BU team has announced that the factory is nearly complete. The most challenging phase is behind them, with about 99% of the work finished. The final phase, where various teams are completing the last works, is underway.

The last components, which were not yet installed in the factory, have already been manufactured and tested at a remote location and are ready for installation. They are expected to arrive at the factory soon, where, after final assembly, a trial run of the complete setup will take place.

The surplus energy the factory produces will power the green vertical farming (GVF) unit, which will deliver premium, fresh vegetables 24/7, free from pesticides and weather influences, under the brand John’s Organic Roots (JOR).

The JOR unit, specially adapted and designed exclusively for symbiotic operation together with BU, is also manufactured and tested.

Additionally, a special external filter for collecting beech dust has been developed, manufactured, and tested. This dust, mixed with the factory’s own rainwater, which will be collected on-site, creates a new product: a wood-derived plant booster. It is used as a natural and highly potent additive in farming, where it is sprayed on fields. Due to its high effectiveness, it is also known by the working name “Red Bull for plants.”

However, the BU improvements do not only concern the construction of the plant, as BU is not just a factory. It is a unique and innovative concept that embodies a holistic approach to a sustainable circular economy. In addition to the factory, the project incorporates various innovative approaches, including the extreme optimization of all processes, achieving maximum efficiency, ensuring economic viability, and adopting a green approach that minimizes harmful emissions, with a focus on reducing CO2.

These include a green vertical farming (GVF) unit, an extra product (wood-derived plant booster), a service and logistics department, and special treatment for employees who, in addition to their basic salary, will receive benefits such as free electricity, free GVF-grown vegetables, and IRMUs.

Every part of the process and every element in the factory has been individually developed and fine-tuned to operate as a self-sufficient, independent mechanism that perfectly integrates into the whole.

The relevance of the BU project and TE, in general, is also demonstrated by the exceptional interest from various groups of visitors. Approximately 1,500 people have visited the BU construction site over the past year. Some of them were potential future employees, while others were potential supporters in IRMUs and investors in new factories. The third part was represented by academics and experts from universities, as well as representatives of asset management firms.

Engagement With the Local Community

To implement all the plans, two special committees that concern BU outputs will be established. One will be responsible for the fair and organized donation of a portion of the produced vegetables to the local population, especially socially disadvantaged families. The other committee will oversee the regular and uninterrupted distribution of the wood-derived plant booster to local farmers, who will receive this product free of charge.

Alongside the distribution of the latter, the educational team will prepare special workshops for local farmers. They will learn about modern farming approaches and the latest innovations, including how to produce more food using non-toxic, natural products, how to farm with fewer pesticides, how to achieve higher food quality, and how to establish more sustainable processes by introducing circular economy principles into agriculture, among other topics.

Also, one of the TE teams is already working on expanding the BU project by setting up clones of the factory at other locations. They collect the final data on suitable sites or locations which have generally already been identified.

The expansion will, among other things, also increase capacity and expand the team that will join the project. The HR team is already working on that task. All future employees will be carefully selected and will enjoy numerous benefits, including exceptional workplace conditions.

The Strategic Development Department stated: “In line with modern standards, we will focus especially on improved hiring protocols that will enable us to select top talent. We will choose people who fully align with our philosophy, thereby ensuring a strong core around which we will build the company culture. Relationships and long-term motivation of all employees are important, as we want to create an excellent work environment.”

The combination of innovative rewards, precise staff selection, and a modern management approach will lead to a more effective salary and motivation system for employees. This system will then be implemented across all locations and units of TE.

Breakthrough in the Financial Sector as Well

Just as the University took control over certain areas, a major asset management group has taken charge of the financial part of the project. This move will also ensure higher trading volumes of IRMUs on the OIX, facilitating trading and positively influencing the development of IRMU prices.

Additionally, numerous activities took place in the fields of digitization and monetization, specifically at IRMU and the OIX exchange, where one of the teams focused on enhancing the added value of products. “We brought in several potential buyers and discovered that we could start with higher product prices than initially planned. This way, we can achieve maximum impact right from the start rather than gradually through development,” said Hroval.

The OIX platform also progressed. The fact that more asset management firms joined than originally agreed will greatly assist in raising the price of all IRMUs tied to specific projects.

As a result of these activities, including both short-term and long-term agreements and implementation plans, project timelines are becoming increasingly shorter.

“Now demand exceeds supply. At the same time, we have established a solid foundation within TE, along with the conceptual solution for the first driver and its components. Consequently, other projects already waiting in the background can begin development in the shortest time,” concluded Roberto Hroval.
