Roro Wirlander Beydoun, 40, is the boss of a pharmacy, in downtown Örebro, a town of 160,000 inhabitants, 200 kilometers west of Stockholm. The establishment has around fifteen employees. From the 1ster March, Mr. Beydoun devotes an hour a month, on his working time, to fight against solitude: his, that of his relatives or his customers. In addition to paying him his salary, the Apotek Hjärtat channel, to which its pharmacy belongs, put 1,000 Swedish crowns (around 90 euros) at its disposal to organize various activities.

Eleven employees of the group, which has 4,000 in Sweden, participate in this pilot project, called “Vanvard” (“care for friends”) – a nod to the “Friskvard” program (“health care”) which allows employers to finance the sports activities of their employees. The idea was born in the context of the mobilization against the suffered isolation, designated A great national cause for the duration of its mandate by the Conservative Liberal Government, which allocates 300 million crowns (27 million euros) per year since 2023.
