“If it sounded today, it would be a call for resilience, a call to unity, a call for deep determination”added Mr. Stefanchuk, facing an almost full hemicycle. Your story and ours teach us that capitulation has never been an option. »»

He called on France to position itself for “Pority sanctions” towards Russia, believing that “Help” requested from France was “Vitual importance” for Ukraine, not only for its “Defense against aggression”but also for his “Way to the European Union”.

“I would like our partners to defend Ukraine with as much relentlessness as Russia is destroying Ukraine”,, “Without half-action, without half-decision, but fully, every day and until the end”he still challenged.

The senators, standing, have paid tribute at length, with applause from all of the benches, at “Courage and the determination of the Ukrainian people”.

“Ukraine is not alone”said the president of the Senate, Gérard Larcher, during this solemn public session at the Palais du Luxembourg. “Our responsibility is great in the face of Russian authorities who are betting on strength, resignation or weariness. We show you that our determination to help you is in no way started ”he added to Mr. Stefanchuk.
