The Metropolitan Police announced, on Monday, May 19, the arrest of a third man in the investigation into criminal fires that have targeted the properties of the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. 34 years old, he was arrested on Monday morning in the Chelsea district of London on Monday morning, according to London police, in connection with these fires.

A 21 -year -old Ukrainian national had already been indicted Thursday, May 13, as part of this investigation for “three criminal fire leaders with the intention of putting the life of others in danger”. This man, Roman Lavrynovych, is notably suspected of being at the origin of the fire which targeted the former residence of Keir Starmer on the night of May 11 to 12 in the Kentish Town district, in northern London. The claim caused damage to the entrance to this house, according to the police.

The Labor Manager has not lived there since his installation at 10, Downing Street, in July 2024, but he is still the owner, according to British media.

This Ukrainian is charged for two other fires: that of a vehicle on May 8, still in the Kentish Town district, and another in front of the entrance to a property in the Islington district, also in the north of the capital on Sunday, according to the prosecutor's office.

A second 26 -year -old man was arrested on Saturday by anti -terrorism officers at Luton airport, north of London. He is still in detention on Monday. He is “Suspected of conspiracy in order to commit a criminal fire, with the intention of putting the life of others in danger”according to a police statement.
