Ongehord : The adjective has many possible translations in French, but those that best stick to the project of this audiovisual and digital media are undoubtedly “scandalous”, “incredible” or “revolting”. Ongehord Nederland (ON!), Channel created in 2019, hears “Offer a voice to the Dutch who do not feel listened to and represented by the current politics and media”. And in particular by what the radical right describes as “Media” Mainstream “on the left”namely the public broadcasting of the Netherlands (NPO).
It is in his fold, however, that the initiators of ON! – Journalists, an actor and a former liberal deputy – have been able to disseminate their messages since 2022. The very complex Dutch audiovisual system allows independent broadcasters who represent philosophical currents, unions, associations or churches to join the public service and to distribute their programs if they bring together a sufficient number of signatories. The NPO thus resumes in its program grids, on radio and television, the programs of around twenty broadcasters (including ON!). The antenna time granted to them varies depending on their number of members.
