Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe: “It is not by weakening the justice that we solve a political problem”

Nine countries of the European Union have questioned, in an “open letter”, the European Convention on Human Rights, which would prevent them from acting on the rights of migrants. Alain Berset, secretary general of the Council of Europe, denounces the method used and recalls that this agreement has been an instrument of legal convergence for seventy-five years.
