Apple started relying on the ProMotion feature in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max phones, and this feature allows phones to operate at a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
This feature has been requested by many users for a long time, as almost all Android phones use it.
The Promotion feature increases or decreases the screen refresh rate based on the quality of the content displayed on the screen.
So if content needs to run at a high refresh rate such as games or videos, the screen will raise the refresh rate automatically.
Then the screen lowers the refresh rate if the content does not need it, such as reading a document or publication.
Apple allows you to completely turn the feature off and on, and have the frame rate tied to just 60Hz.
You can do this by following these steps:
- Go to the Settings app on your phone, then go to the Enhanced Access settings section, and then choose Motion.
- And then in the animation menu, activate an option called Reduce Frame Rate, and this option works on the frame rate limit at which the system is running.
You can also turn off this feature by activating the low power mode, as this mode reduces the phone’s battery consumption.
By selecting a low power mode through the phone’s command control interface.
